A night in Thailand // a travel + foodie series

You might have read one of my recent blog posts about a few friends of mine and our love for travel + food. If not, definitely check it out HERE. Most recently, we 'traveled' to Thailand, enjoying the taste and sights of this amazing country. As always, Andrea did not disappoint with her out of this world attention to detail and hosting skills. Her table is always so lovely! On our table this evening...Andrea made jasmine rice to pair with a green curry dish (Um. YUM. My absolute favorite of the night!) and a hot basil chicken dish, along with sushi balls filled with dried pork.Carolyn made a wonderful dessert called KhaoNeeo Mamuang, which was a Thai sweet sticky rice with mango.I made a Thai Coco cocktail that was made with fresh lemongrass syrup, coconut rum, and garnished with lime. We also sampled Tsingtao beer, which is actually a Chinese beer, but it's what was available at Friar Tuck. ;)We also enjoyed a Thai snack called 'Pocky sticks', which are essentially thin biscuit wafers covered in chocolate or strawberry. They were so good!Enjoy a peek into our evening!
